It’s not rocket science. But the key is a good instructor and bump disengage bump disengage. 3-4 hrs practice and you’re good to go. You won’t be perfect but you will be able to maneuver. I think it’s very helpful to have two people take a course like this the both be on the bridge so the person not piloting can remind the captain of certain things. Especially if it’s tight or windy.

I like to call this common sense. It’s funny watching how many humans don’t possess it. I’m not sure if it’s just how I was raised or if God made some of us special 😂😂😂 but a “whiskey throttle” on a bike has never made sense to me, or the way people wreck boats at the dock. Extremely weird!

No wind or tide so correct, there’s no throttle needed. But when t’s ripping there’s just no disputing that it’s sometimes necessary to get her in the hole quick so bumping the throttles some, might be the way.
